BMSIT Yelahanka inaugurated HONNUDI Kannada Sangha on Rajyotsava Day.
BMS Institute of Technology and Management inaugurated its new Kannada Club ‘’HONNUDI’’ on 3rd Nov 2022 during its Rajyotsava Celebration. Famous Artist, Kannada Writer Prof.Krishne Gowda inaugurated new Kannada Sangha. BMSIT also honoured Prof.Krishne Gowda by recognising his contribution in the field of Art and Kannada Literature. Event was organised to showcase our culture, traditional arts like Dollu Kunita, Thamate, Chandu, Janapada Nrutya, Yakshagana and other forms. Students and staffs were participated enthusiastically to celebrate the Kannada Festival. The performance of faculty and staff members in the event followed by cultural event by students was really worth watching.
Prof. Krishne Gowda praised the initiative taken by BMSIT students and staff to form new Kannada Club “Honnudi” in their institution. He said that we are proud to hear that Kannada is one among the 30 most popular languages in the world. Kannada is a deep rooted language which existed even before English. Chairman of BMSIT&M Aviram Sharma graced the occasion and appreciated the initiative of Honnudi Sangha also said that BMS Educational Trust extends its full support to new Kannada Club Honnudi. Principal Dr.Mohan Babu G N said that Kannada Language has deep roots in the lives of people, and has rich heritage, culture. Hence, it is able to sustain from centuries and going to sustain forever. Vice Principal Dr. H K Govindaraju, Dean Students Welfare Dr.Mala CS, Chief Coordinator Prof. Shobha were present during program.
