Cyber security Training for Educators and Students
Microsoft Philanthropy has inked an MoU with ICT Academy to implement its CSR initiative in the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, UTs, and Northeast to train Faculty and upskill the graduating final year Students in Cyber Security. Microsoft Philanthropy on seeing the trend in job opportunities available for the youth in Cyber Security, has taken this initiative to upskill the youth from the rural and low-income family groups, thus helping them in building their socio-economic levels.
ICT Academy offered the opportunity to be a host of Cyber Security training for faculty and 2023 passing out students of digital branches of BMSIT&M under the program “Cyber Shiksha for Educators and Students” recently.
Dr. Hemamalini B H , Associate Professor, gave the complete report of Microsoft Philanthropy Program mentioning that the institution has completed two stages of the program. The first stage is training four mentors for 40 hours. The second stage being the trained mentors in turn training the students for 30 hours. 71 students of Circuit branch / Computer Science students passing out in 2023 were selected and trained.
Dr Mohan Babu G N, Principal, has conveyed his gratitude to Microsoft and ICT Academy for setting up the Centre of Excellence, which is a CSR initiative of Microsoft. Through this Centre of Excellence hundred underprivileged students in the institution learn the technology and get the global certification program at zero cost.
Dr. H. K. Govind Raju, Vice Principal mentioned that Cyber Shiksha is the need of the hour. He gave a call to all the students to contribute the knowledge acquired to the benefit of the society.
